Full Form: Common Law Admission Test (Undergraduate)
Purpose: The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT-UG) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to five-year integrated undergraduate law programmes (BA LL.B., BBA LL.B., B.Com LL.B., B.Sc. LL.B., and BSW LL.B.) offered by participating National Law Universities (NLUs) and several other public and private law institutions across India.
Conducting Body: Consortium of National Law Universities (Consortium of NLUs)
Eligibility: Candidates who have passed or are appearing for Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board are eligible to apply. There is no stream restriction, and students from Science, Commerce, and Humanities backgrounds can all appear for the examination. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility requirements prescribed by the Consortium for the respective admission year.
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in CLAT (UG).
